Another great day at Eaglecrest! It’s snowing and blowing right now, and the forecast is calling for 6-9” of new snow! Let’s cross our fingers! Eaglecrest is closed to uphill traffic starting at 5:30 AM tomorrow morning (Saturday Dec. 28)! We will post updates to our Conditions Page and on the Snow Phone!

Eaglecrest’s uphill policy is in effect. On operating days, uphill traffic is restricted to three designated routes along the ski area boundary line. There is no hiking allowed anywhere in the ski area: East, Middle, or West. Review at skieaglecrest.com/policy.

Today we ran Porcupine, Hooter, and Ptarmigan Chairlifts and opened the entire upper mountain (no West Bowl or Steep Chutes)! Please know that the return trails from the West side and Middle of the mountain are difficult. Yesterday’s wet snow and rain on the lower mountain hardened up last night. Early season conditions and hazards exist; at this time our trails up the mountain are for advanced skiers and snowboarders only.

Mountain ops crew worked incredibly hard today knocking off ice build-up on Black Bear Chairlift, which was absolutely coated from Tower 15 up to the top! There’s still some work to do, but the plan is to get her running this weekend.

All mountain services are open, including the Snow BusNordic TrailsSki ShopRental ShopSnowsports SchoolMountain LiftEaglecrest Grill, and Tower Bar. Today’s groomed trails were the Summer Road, Williwaw, Muskeg, and one pass on Sneaky. We will add more grooming as snow depths allow. Settled base snowpack is still only 15”.
