The Powder Alliance proudly announces the addition of Eaglecrest for the 2020-2021 winter season.

Now spanning four countries, four hemispheres, and 18 premier ski areas, the Powder Alliance is one of the world’s most powerful reciprocal season pass programs. There are no membership fees and no collective pass prices.  Simply purchase a season pass from any Powder Alliance resort and receive three (3) FREE days at all of the rest! That’s up to 51 FREE visits!

Says John McColly, Powder Alliance, “We just made your winter road trip even more amazing by adding two new resorts, Eaglecrest and Silver Mountain.  Whether you are covering the West Coast or visiting from Japan or Chile, you definitely want to check them out.”

Eaglecrest recently emerged from a 54-day snowfall streak January through March and was approaching 400″ of snow before coronavirus ended the winter season. For a mouthwatering glimpse of Eaglecrest, watch the 2019 short film “Passage: An Eaglecrest Experience” by Snowledge. You can also read the trip report on 4FRNT Skis’ and Trew Gear’s websites.

The complete Powder Alliance resort roster for 2020-2021 includes Angel Fire, NM, Bogus Basin, ID, Bridger Bowl, MT, Castle Mountain Resort, AB Canada, China Peak, CA, Eaglecrest, AK, Kiroro, Japan, La Parva, Chile, Loveland Ski Area, CO, Marmot Basin, AB Canada,  Mission Ridge, WA, Monarch Mountain, CO, Mountain High, CA, Mt Hood Ski Bowl, OR, Sierra At Tahoe, CA, Silver Mountain, ID, Timberline, OR, and White Pass, WA.

The offer is valid Sunday through Friday with some holiday restrictions. Many resorts like Eaglecrest, Angle Fire, and Kiroro offer three FREE days – ANY DAY – with no restrictions. Tickets are non-transferable and must be used in the same season as the accompanying pass. The offer does not apply to midweek, spring, or other restricted season pass options. Eaglecrest’s Flex Pass and Multi-Visit Card holders are not eligible for any season pass perks. Visit the Powder Alliance website for more information.

Says Charlie Herrington, Marketing Manager, “Everyone at Eaglecrest is thrilled to join the Powder Alliance. Juneau has been secretly enjoying this gem since 1975, and we can’t wait to share our mountain with new visitors and extend some seriously impressive benefits to our pass holders.”

The resort roster has changed for 2020-2021.

Eaglecrest is one of Alaska’s best-kept secrets with big mountain terrain, 640+ acres, 1620′ of vertical, and panoramic ocean views. The annual snowfall average is 320” with a record-setting 640” in 2011-2012. Eaglecrest, which is community-owned and operated, is a living tribute to the soul of skiing and snowboarding. The mountain is the main attraction, and traditional services are offered at truly affordable prices. Chairlifts are fixed-grip doubles, grooming is limited, and some of the best terrain is accessed by traverse, sidestep, and bootpack.

There are no roads to Juneau. Travelers must arrive by plane or ferry from Seattle or Anchorage and are rewarded with untracked powder and hardly a lift line. The mountain is so close to the airport that they offer a Boarding Pass, giving Powder Alliance pass holders a fourth FREE day if they visit the same day as their arrival. Regular operations are Thursday to Monday, December through mid-April, and daily during Christmas and Spring Break. Eaglecrest is open to uphill traffic during non-operating hours and has impressive backcountry access. Backcountry skiers and splitboarders are encouraged to pack their beacon, shovel, probe, and Know Before You Go!
