WELCOME TO YOUR FIRST DAY!
FIRST TIMERS GUIDE
BEFORE YOU GET HERE
WHAT TO PACK
You’ll need a jacket, snowpants, warm socks, gloves or mittens, a hat or helmet, goggles, and extra layers for your legs, feet, & upper body. If you need to add to your wardrobe, you can shop conveniently and locally at the Eaglecrest Retail Shop, Nugget Alaskan Outfitter, Foggy Mountain Shop, or Second Wind Sports.
It’s smart to pack a backpack or bag for all of your gear. We have a locker room in the Fish Creek Lodge and storage cubbies in the Rental Shop.
You’ll be hungry later, so pack water, snacks, and money for Eaglecrest Grill & Mountain Lift.
SKI & SNOWBOARD EQUIPMENT
If you have your own equipment, that’s great! All we ask is that its safe and ready to go.
If you need to rent equipment, our Rental Shop has everything you need to get on the slopes. Check in with the Snowsports School on the first floor of the Porcupine Lodge. Here you will check in for your lesson, and our staff will start the rental process. After checking in, take the paperwork to the Rental Shop on the second floor, where you’ll be sized and fitted for gear.
Whether you’re renting equipment or not, please arrive at least one hour before your scheduled lesson time to get geared up and ready for a fun day on the mountain! We don’t want you to miss any time with your instructor!
