Eaglecrest will be hosting two IFSA freeride competitions this weekend!
Junior Regional 2*
Friday, March 4th
Venue: East Bowl Chutes
8:30 AM athlete check-in
10 AM event start time
Award ceremonies: 4 PM near the Tower Bar (weather permitting)
Spectators can head toward the East Bowl Chutes runout that connects to Williwaw. Some hiking along the flat, groomed runout may be required.
FWQ 2*
Saturday, March 5th
Venue: High Point area of West Bowl
9:00 AM athlete check-in
10:30 AM event start time
Award ceremonies: 4 PM near the Tower Bar (weather permitting)
Spectators can view the event from the boundary line near the end of Most.
Please pay attention to boundary markers this weekend— the East Bowl gate will be closed on Friday.
On Saturday, West Bowl will be closed on the Ptarmigan side; however, the terrain can still be accessed via the Black Bear ridge access gate.
These competitions will not be broadcast, but come cheer everybody on in person! Quite a few Juneau locals have signed up for the junior competition. The best viewpoint will be near the finish area at both events.
