SOFT OPENING SUNDAY

This past week Eaglecrest received more snow than expected, with that being said, early-season conditions exist on the mountain. Many of the creeks and gullies have flowing water and hazards are present and should be avoided. The mountain has a thin snowpack and numerous unmarked hazards. Expert skier/rider conditions are present throughout the Mountain.

Tomorrow, Eaglecrest will have a LIMITED OPENING of Ptarmigan and the East Side and limited lower Mountain terrain. This opening is for Expert skiers/riders only from 10 AM to 2 PM on Sunday the 17th. We reserve the right to cease operations if weather/snowpack conditions warrant. Eaglecrest’s uphill policy will be strictly enforced and all other areas within the boundary will be closed to all traffic. The groomers will be out utilizing their compactor bar attachment on minimal trails. This attachment compacts the snow but does not create the typically smooth, corduroy surface. Be prepared for dips, holes, uneven seams, and other hazards. Rentals will not be available. Our staff has been working extremely hard to get the mountain open, and we look forward to sharing Mother Nature’s unexpected gift with you all!
