2019 Powder Keg Cup Race 2 Results

Race #2 was another success! Thank you to all the racers, supporters, and Foggy Mountain Shop for their generous prize donations!

We had 41 total racers and quite a few new participants join the ranks! Times ranged from 34 minutes to 65 minutes! First place in the men’s division was Alex Burkhart, who crossed the finish line after just 34 minutes and 30 seconds. First place in the women’s division was Iris Neary, who crossed the finish line after just 40 minutes and 53 seconds.

The uphill race route was from the Hooter base to the top of Hooter, and then to the top of Ptarmigan. The downhill route was anywhere down between Hilary’s and Williwaw.

We were excited to add a new division now that we have two women telemark skiers registered! One more would make a complete podium, spread the word!

Race #3 is Saturday, March 23. The route will be anything goes, as long as conditions permit! Just get to the top of Ptarmigan and back down, as fast (and safely) as possible!
