It’s finally feeling like summer on the mountain! The sun is out, and it’s perfect picnic weather for the ridge!
While you relax, we are hard at work leading up to this holiday weekend! We’re prepping the quarries to provide rock for our extensive trail projects, performing line work on the lifts, but most exciting is the progress on the Sourdough Mountain Bike Trail!
The trail crew staff have cleared and pioneered much of the lowest section. Check out the photos and time-lapse videos from walking the trail earlier today.
The trail will connect from the Race Shack, dip into the woods skiers’ left of Ptarmigan Chairlift, and end just above the Hooter Chairlift base area. The trail surface will be finished with RAP (recycled asphalt), which we are storing along the summer road in numerous locations.
Please be aware of the heavy machinery and staff while you’re enjoying the mountain this summer. We have closed the upper portion of the Sourdough Trail due to construction, but you may still ride below.
And please, do your doo duty! Pick up after your dogs!
