This March, SheJumps is teaming up with Eaglecrest Ski Area to bring two inspiring events to Juneau designed to empower girls and women in winter sports. Whether your young skier wants to learn what it takes to be on Ski Patrol or you’re looking for a fun, community-centered film night, this is a day you won’t want to miss.
Join us at Eaglecrest on March 15th for a full day of learning, connection, and celebration on the mountain.
Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol
SheJumps x Eaglecrest
The day begins with the Wild Skills Junior Ski Patrol program, a hands-on, on-snow experience designed for intermediate to expert skiers and riders ages 8–14.
Participants will:

Learn the basics of mountain safety

Explore first aid concepts and rescue awareness

Gain insight into avalanche education and terrain safety

Work alongside Eaglecrest Ski Patrol members

Build teamwork, leadership, and confidence
This immersive experience gives youth a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to keep a mountain safe and running smoothly. It’s an incredible opportunity for kids who love skiing or snowboarding and are curious about the responsibility and skill involved in mountain operations.
Scholarships are available to help ensure access for all families. Lift tickets are required (season pass or day ticket).
GTGO Girl Winter Film Screening
SheJumps x Eaglecrest
Later in the day, the focus shifts indoors for an inspiring evening of storytelling and community with the GTGO Girl Winter Film Screening. Everyone is welcome to join!
As part of SheJumps’ nationwide Get The Girls Out! (GTGO) initiative, this film event brings together women, girls, and allies to celebrate adventure, resilience, and connection through winter sports. The Girl Winter Film Tour features short films that highlight diverse voices and powerful stories from women thriving in snowy environments.
