Eaglecrest Ski Area is proud to support youth literacy and outdoor recreation through our Books to Boards Program. This program is designed to encourage a love of reading while introducing young people to skiing and snowboarding, helping build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors.
Through Books to Boards, participating students earn Eaglecrest lift tickets and equipment rentals by meeting reading goals set through their school or program. By pairing reading achievement with an on-mountain experience, we aim to make learning fun, rewarding, and accessible.
The program is open to participating schools and youth organizations and is typically offered during the winter season. Students who complete the required reading milestones are rewarded with the opportunity to experience Eaglecrest, often for the very first time.
Eaglecrest believes that access to outdoor recreation can be life changing. The Books to Boards Program helps remove barriers by creating an incentive-based pathway for kids to get outside, stay active, and discover the joy of sliding on snow.
If you would like to help support programs like Books to Boards, please consider donating to the Eaglecrest Foundation. Your support helps expand access to youth programs and keeps community-focused initiatives thriving.
