The photographs below are from our second month of mid-week school group visits. The first session was sponsored by Mendenhall Auto Mall, the second by Juneau Whale Watch, the third by NAO, the fourth by AELP/Couer, and the fifth by Alaska Concrete Casting. For more than 35 years, Mendenhall Auto sponsored a Learn to Ski Weekend for Juneau students, who had never skied before, in grades 2nd through 4th. As we seek to resume many of our favored programs to continue reaching our local youth, and to introduce this great sports of skiing and snowboarding, we have forged new partnerships and a new opportunity to expand access to Eaglecrest to our local classrooms.

We have set aside special dates just for  2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade classes to schedule a visit to Eaglecrest to learn to ski and snowboard.  These trips are sponsored by a partnership with the Eaglecrest Foundation and with funding from many local businesses. A full scholarship will fully cover a class visit (Lesson, Rentals and tickets), including bus transportation, for up to 30 students.
