Powder Keg Cup | CAAC Fundraiser

The Powder Keg Cup, Eaglecrest’s after-hours uphill-downhill race series, is back! All proceeds will benefit the Coastal Alaska Avalanche Center. Since enthusiasm for the first race was so high, we decided to plan two more! We are spicing things up by adding more divisions based on age. In addition to the usual divisions of men’s & women ski and split board, we’ll have one for participants ages 45-59, with another division for those 60+! There will also be an award for the best costume!

Dates: March 19, 26, April 2
Check-in: 4:00 – 4:30 PM
Start time: 4:30 PM near the base of Hooter chairlift
Entry fee: $15
Route: Get to the top of Ptarmigan (and back) intact! Route information TBA. Remember that Steep Chutes is uncontrolled avalanche terrain outside operating hours.
Required Gear: Beacon, Probe, Shovel
