Happy Saturday! In case you haven’t looked out your window in the past 24 hours, the weather has shifted to flurries and snow. We’ve received about 2” of snow at the base area in the past 24 hours, which is a whole lot better than the 0” we’ve been used to this season. It’s currently 18 degrees at the base with calm wind speeds. Be sure to pack your buffs and possibly some hand and toe warmers for those chilly lift rides.

Have you checked out the new park? It is now open! It’s got a box, some corrugated tubes, and yes, you guessed it, the beloved cannon. It’s a great place to spend some time improving as a skier and boarder. There’s nothing more humbling than eating it in front of a lesson group. There’s always room for improvement, even for the best skiers and riders. The People’s Park is scheduled to open today. Stay tuned here for an update once it does.

The Eaglecrest Grill will be open and so will Mountain Lift Coffee! All your warm food and beverage needs are here and ready to greet you.

We’ll be operating Porcupine from 9AM - 3PM. Dolly Varden and Muskeg are our groomed trails. We will be filling in various areas in the base area with snowmaking. We’re still making snow at Porcupine and at the bases of Hooter and Ptarmigan. Steer clear of hoses, pipes, and any staff out on the hill adjusting the snowguns. Watch out for slower spots where the manmade snow accumulates.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

NORDIC (December 28) Good Morning Nordic Fans! Welcome back to Eaglecrest’s 49th ski season!

We are still waiting on more natural snow – both the upper and lower nordic trails are closed this weekend. We will be back next week with an update.

Keep thinking cold thoughts and doing your dances – the white stuff WILL come. In the meantime, feel free to come ride Porcupine from 9 – 3 Saturday and Sunday!
