Today’s forecast is cloudy with a 40% chance of scattered snow showers and a high of 31°. This season has been off to an incredible start. It’s hard to imagine Eaglecrest received nearly 10” of rain in the first few days of December. Here are are now with excellent snow conditions, and we had the entire mountain and all four chairlifts open on Christmas Eve! Groomed trails are getting deeper, wider, and better: Muskeg, Dolly Varden, Stickleback, Sneaky, Sourdough, Ego, Lower Hilary’s, Lower Spruce Chute, Log Jam, Williwaw, Grubstake, Otter Slide, Motherlode, and Easy Bowl. Off-piste conditions will be especially good in the higher elevations. Eaglecrest is open daily through Jan. 10th, except we are closed on Jan. 7th. All chairlifts are scheduled to run 9-3 PM. Please get pre-fitted for rental equipment. Advance reservations are required.
January 3, 8:41 AM | NORDIC (1.3): No fresh grooming on the lower nordic trails due to thin snow cover. Early season conditions exist, so be sure to watch for rocks and wet spots! The upper Nordic loop has been groomed for classic and skate skiing. The skate track is wide and smooth and the classic track is also riding well. One pass has been made with the groomer on Trickster for upper nordic access.
January 22, 8:38 AM | NORDIC (1.22): We have received 16 inches of snow in the past week and were able to pack down the lower nordic trail but have not been able to set tracks on it yet. While we are not officially opening it, you may still use the lower trail but it will be recreate at your own risk.
