Snowmaking is coming along nicely! The beginner area is almost filled in. We’re leaving the HKD Vipers on the Stickleback trail – potentially through Friday – but everything else is migrating over to the lower mountain! It’s a lot of work, but we’re ready for it!
Over the past two offseasons, we have done substantial trail conditioning projects that have greatly improved snowmaking efficiency across the beginner area. The goal is to blow in the beginner area as fast as possible, so we can concentrate our entire firepower on the main mountain. It’s great to see the plan come together and to have produced this much snow this early in November!
We’ll have snow guns, cables, hoses, staff, and machinery moving around the mountain this weekend. Please use caution, hike at your own risk, and give us lots of room! Check the new “Uphill Status” section at before visiting. We reserve the right to suspend access at any time for ski patrol or mountain operations.
