Happy New Year! 2020 delivered a fresh batch of winter weather! Seven days of cold and snow on the horizon! We had 1.5″ overnight, another 2-4″ throughout the day, and we’re expecting snow storms and flurries for the next week!

The snowmaking crew is prepping to turn the guns on later this evening! Hopefully, we’ll make some decent piles overnight to improve lower mountain return trails!

As the cold temps persist and the snow continues to fall, conditions will keep getting better up here! Yesterday’s decision to close the upper mountain was a good call! We have a nice smooth snow surface that’s firming up and getting fresh snowfall on top!

For tomorrow, Ptarmigan, Hooter, and Porcupine Chairlifts will run 9am – 3pm. Check skieaglecrest.com/conditions for updates on terrain openings. All mountain services are open. Low snow conditions and hazards exist. Trails up the mountain are for advanced skiers and snowboarders only.

Eaglecrest is closed to uphill traffic during operating hours. You may use designated uphill routes along the ski area boundary line to access backcountry terrain (Troy, Ben Stewart). Please review the uphill route map and policy at skieaglecrest.com/policy.
