Eaglecrest’s CCC Trail Crew has nearly completed the Dick’s Lake Trail, a beautiful hiking loop located at the top of Black Bear Chairlift.

The beginning portion of the trail follows – what in the winter season is – the cat track traverse to East Bowl Chutes. There’s a fork a short distance in, and hikers can loop left for excellent views of the ski area, Fish Creek Valley, and beyond. Going right leads straight to Dick’s Lake.

The trail is about 2,000′ long, and only a 200′ section at the farthest end of the loop remains to be finished.

If you’re hiking on the mountain, be sure to make way for heavy machinery and Eaglecrest staff. We’re working hard to finish up lots of projects before the snow falls!
