BOOKS 2 BOARDS
This program is funded in part by the Eaglecrest Foundation and provides Juneau middle school students the opportunity to enjoy winter sports at Eaglecrest at no cost. Students for the program are chosen by teachers and staff based on their economic and social need, grades, and attendance.
Students chosen are expected to keep good grades, good attendance and behave in school. In return they are provided free lift tickets, ski/snowboard rentals, bus transportation and access to clothing including jackets, pants, gloves, and helmets.
Coming up to the mountain and want to avoid waiting for your gear? Have your gear preset, and you’ll be off in no time!
Just send Nick an email with your name, date coming up, boot, and gear size, and we will have it ready to go.
TAKE A LESSON
Books2Boards students are able to take lessons free of charge.
Contact Nick or the Snowsports School to make a lesson reservation and tell us the desired date, lesson time (10:00 AM or 1:00 PM), ability level, and whether you’ll be skiing or snowboarding.
LEARN TO SKI WEEKEND
For 36 years, Eaglecrest has welcomed 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders to the mountain for Learn To Ski Weekend, a two day skiing adventure.
The weekend included transportation, lessons, rentals, lift tickets, and lunch for two days. It’s a great opportunity for students to experience on the mountain, make friends, and become confident skiers.
